Do we build walls around the city to protect us from the outside or to control us from the inside? The most interesting stories often exist at the edges, such as how the Siddi Saiyiddi Ni Jali connects Asian Ahmedabad with the horn of Africa. This workshop will be a collaborative project that explores contemporary narratives around the old walled city of Ahmedabad.

We’re living in a world that is full of stories, but lately we’re feeling like a lot of these stories sound the same. So we’re going to encourage you to come up with a personal view, stories that may seem familiar on the surface, but turn into something else, and turn these fuzzy memories into a (accidental) story using the language of comics.

It is not the destination, but the journey that matters. Travel, whether in time or space, affects all of us. This workshop will explore travel, through the animation of it, while exploring the forms of a praxinoscope using soft clay.

People leave their marks everywhere, so many stories left around. Whether unconsciously or willfully, everything we see has its origin and has been a part of someone, evidence or an incident. In this workshop, you’ll create this container of different marks, a cornucopia of stories through animation using various media
- 5. Sketching and sketchbook making
A workshop on sketching, sketchbooks making and keeping a visual journey. With presentations, love talks where the participants get hands on experience on watercolors, maintaining visual records, sketching on site, participate in discussion and finally share their experience.

In a time in which we decisively question the values of the beautiful and the ugly, of the just and of the unjust, we believe it is a moral obligation to consider making the world a better place, making it a more beautiful and just place. A vision. Fantasy needs to be cultivated, practices, and trained.
