Pravinsinh Solanki

Pravinsinh K. Solanki teaches Furniture & Interior Design at the National Institute of Design. He has worked on various interior design and retail store design projects and has fourteen years of rich and varied work experience. He has worked in Italy for six years, designing and executing retail store interiors around the world.

An NID alumnus, Pravinsinh started teaching at NID in 2013. He has worked on various high-end residential interiors, school furniture, event designing, furniture design, and boutiques. He has expertise in setting up wood manufacturing, sourcing, production, execution, and cost-cutting.

At NID he teaches Construction & Fabrication, Space Planning, Retail Store Design, Design Detailing, and Design Management. He also looks after the classic prototypes which are designed by world class designers. He has a special interest in bamboo furniture and is the coordinator of Bamboo Initiatives at NID.
