Ms. Rekha Nair has diversified combination of talent and experience. She has obtained her Bachelors Degree in Science (Chemistry) from St. Xavier’s College, Ahmedabad and Masters in Computer Applications from Rollwala Computer Center, Gujarat University. Her passion and inclination towards education brought her into the academia. She has been in the academia for the past twenty-five years. Prior to joining NID, she has been associated with Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA), S.K.Patel Institute of Management and Computer Applications, Gandhinagar, Shri Jairambhai Patel Institute of Management and Computer Applications (formerly known as National Institute of Cooperative Management), Gandhinagar and Swarnim Gujarat Sports University, Gandhinagar. She has been with NID since July 2019. 

In her statutory position as the Registrar of NID, she is the custodian of records, the common seal, the funds of the Institute and any other property of the Institute as the Governing Council shall commit to their charge.

She is Secretary of the Governing Council & the Senate and the Member-Secretary of the Standing Committee and in charge of all academic administration (of all three campuses) matters relating to admission, course delivery, assessment, evaluation, award of grades or diplomas or degrees and such other academic administration related tasks and responsibilities, generating and maintaining data and records related to students and academic matters.

Also responsible for implementing directives of the Government of India in respect of all academic and student matters and execute all contracts and legal documents for and on behalf of the Institute.
