Jagadish Kumar has joined the institute as Faculty in the Graphic Design discipline at NID in 2016. He has collective work experience of 12 years in the field of Visual arts in Painting, Sculpture and printmaking segments, and has been practicing in the area of Art and Design since 2004. Jagadish obtained his Post-graduation in Painting and Printmaking from Central University of Hyderabad, and Graduation from Collage of Arts, Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat, Bangalore.

He was being a part of professional Art practice - artist residency at PPIF Foundation, Mumbai in 2004, and a National Scholar under the Department of Culture, Human Resource Development, Government of India in 2005. He owns Inlaks India foundation Award for Visual Arts in the year 2007 and also curated many Art Exhibitions, workshops on Art and Design. He was part of various National and International Art Symposium, Art Exhibitions, Art Camps, Residencies and Seminars since 2001. Prior to joining the institute as faculty, he taught at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati in the Department of Design. Presently at NID, he is part of the faculty group offering inputs in Freehand Drawing, Design Drawing and Color Perception in the Foundation programme, and in Graphic Design he teaches advanced studies of Color, color psychology, color illusion, Digital color and color composition, and Drawing and Visualization course for Graphic Design.
