Jagriti P. Galphade is currently Coordinating Science & Liberal and is Co-Lead Interaction Design Discipline at NID. She has over 15 years of experience in Design Education & Design Industry. After completing, MA Fine Arts (Drawing and Painting) from Barkatullah Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal, Jagriti went on to pursue an Advanced Diploma in Computer Arts from Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC), Pune. She has also worked in the industry in the field of e-learning for development of learning modules, including those for the K-12 programmes, which catered to target audiences as varied as the corporate sector and heritage projects. She joined NID under the Faculty Development Programme in 2004.

Currently, she teaches M.des students at NID Bengaluru, in the area of Basic Design, Color & Composition, User Experience, Immersive technologies, Digital Narrative & Digital Media & Visualization, Aesthetics, and Systems Thinking etc. Her efforts on coordinating and organizing workshops for developing the digital/virtual prototyping ability of students in Interaction Design program are pivotal.

She has presented in several seminars and workshops both outside as well as for NID’s Industry sponsored workshops. The presentations vary from topics on Basic Design, Participatory Approach in Design and Research in Sociology, Prototyping a tool for Product Design & Innovation etc. She also undertakes consultancy projects for design of visual identities and packaging design for the govt. organizations.

Jagriti has keen interest in Design pedagogy for the master’s program in Design and has participated in the curriculum development of the new disciplines in IT Integrated department at NID. Her present research interest include study of behavioral aspects of common man in public places towards the cleanliness & hygiene, study in the area of digital inclusivity in the day to day life, understanding Indian-ness by studying the salient and unique features of the Indian culture, art & tradition, possibilities and scope in the application of new technologies on the age-old cultural traditions, artistic practices and the heritage.

Jagriti has been an acclaimed voiceover artist in the broadcast media.
