Lt Cdr S Ganesh Karpoor (Retd) is an Engg graduate (BE) from Anna University, Chennai  in Electronics & Communication Engineering.

He had a short yet remarkable stint with the Indian Navy as a Short Service Commissioned Officer. While in Navy he pursued Master of Science (M.Sc) in Military Technology from Defence Institute of Advanced Technology, Pune wherein he topped the course.

At NID he functions as Purchase and Stores Officer, and is responsible for procurement of goods & services as per extant rules, inventory management and disposal. He is also responsible for training & development of staff in Purchase & Store section.
