Yaatra Khan is a filmmaker, communication designer, and educator based in Ahmedabad, India. She holds a bachelor's degree in film and Video Communication Design from the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad, and a master's degree in communication design from Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda.
With multiple years of experience in the industry, Yaatra has worked on a diverse range of projects, including ad films, documentaries, TV promos, and feature films. She has collaborated with renowned production houses and media companies such as Bhansali Productions, Eros International Media Ltd, Ogilvy and Mather, and Cineman Productions. Her work is characterized by a strong belief in the transformative power of design and cinema to shift mindsets, inspire innovation, and drive social movements.
Her academic journey has been equally fruitfull. She has more than six years of teaching experience and has served as a faculty member at various esteemed institutions.
In addition to her professional and academic pursuits, she is actively engaged in research. She has contributed to publications such as the book "Design in the Era of Industry 4.0," where she explores the evolving landscape of design education. Her research interests lie in the intersection of technology, design, and education, and she continues to mentor students in these areas.
Beyond her professional life, Yaatra is a traveler, cook, and devoted dog mother. She enjoys playing the sitar, creating visual art, and immersing herself in music.
